Prescient, a provider of supply chain planning solutions for consumer products suppliers, announced availability of Prescient 6, its supply chain planning suite. New enhancements to the offering include: an expanded library of Retailer Roadmaps, electronic templates that correspond to individual trading partners’ varying requirements for supply chain data exchange with suppliers; and support for data synchronization requirements and standards such as AS2, EDI, XML, and new in Prescient 6, UCCnet.
"In the consumer products industry, the biggest challenge manufacturers will face over the next year or two are data synchronization and complying with new RFID mandates," explained Steve Banker, ARC Service Director, Supply Chain Management. "Consequently, while Prescient's new product release, Prescient 6, offers a variety of architectual and functional enhancements, the biggest news is enhanced capabilities for data synchronization and integration."
